Gastrointestinal Cancers, diabetes, obesity, weight loss, cardiology/cardiac diseases and transplantation, liver disease and transplantation, public health nutrition, dietary guidelines.

Registered Dietitian since 2004 (20 years of experience).

Has worked with individuals with a variety of different health conditions including diabetes, heart disease, gastrointestinal cancers, pancreatic cancer, heart failure, hypertension, liver failure and liver transplant, heart failure and heart transplant, stroke, cancer, obesity, and kidney disease.

Dr. Hunnes has been a Registered Dietitian for over 20 years (since 2024), working at UCLA Health and working with patients, physicians, and other medical staff. She also teaches graduate students at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health about chronic disease prevention and the effects of our food systems on climate change.
